Captain Mike Bornman is a veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where he spent 36 years protecting the residents of our county.
Starting his career as a proud graduate of LASD Class 199, he was initially assigned to the Custody Division at Men’s Central Jail.
After completing his probationary period, Captain Mike requested and was assigned to Firestone Station in South LA.
While at Firestone (FPK), he completed training, was himself assigned as a Field Training Officer, and ultimately worked as a station detective for a number of years, working cases involving everything from petty theft to attempted murder.
During his tenure in this capacity, he worked hundreds of criminal cases and assisted other investigators in hundreds of others.
